About Our Studio
Beyond Form Studio is an Ottawa-based architectural design practice dedicated to crafting contemporary, high-performance homes that are both timeless and future-focused. Specializing in custom residential design, Passive House, and net-zero strategies, our work is guided by the belief that homes should be as sustainable and resilient as they are beautiful and livable.
At the core of our philosophy is the idea that architecture should tell a story. Each project begins with a narrative shaped by the character of the site and the aspirations of the people who will inhabit it. Through careful attention to proportion, materiality, and detail, we craft spaces that resonate with both their occupants and their surroundings.
Drawing on over a decade of experience in residential design and building science, we approach each project as an opportunity to create spaces that enrich everyday life while treading lightly on the environment.
Our work integrates Passive House principles, net-zero strategies, and high-performance building envelopes from the earliest stage of design. This ensures that energy efficiency, durability, and occupant comfort are not afterthoughts, but foundational design drivers.
The result is homes that are cofortable year-round, resilient in changing climates, and significantly reduced in operational energy demand.
